TUBI S.p.A., located in Sambuceto (Chieti), has been operating in the steel pipe industry since 1984. In 2005 the company acquired the steel pipe factory Fratelli TORDA in Cittaducale (Rieti), specialized for more than 40 years in the production of steel pipes and special components by submerged arc welding process, with a production capacity of 40,000 tons per year. The company produces and trades welded and seamless steel pipes, with protective coatings, for water line pipes, hydroelectric plants, gas pipes, district heating, fluids in general and for structural use in the range from 1/2 inch (OD 21.3 mm) to 180 inches (OD 4,572 mm).
The company also produces and coats for other companies, including important national and international producers.
The industrial sites in Chieti and Rieti occupy a total area of 90,000 m2, with a covered production area of 23,000 m2 that allows the company to produce according to the main national and international standards, such as UNI, EN, ISO, API, DIN, B.S., AWWA, ASTM and others.
The flexibility of the production process and the restrictive quality control made on production allows the company to efficiently satisfy the most variable requests. The customers portfolio includes important construction-, engineering- and electric power generation companies as well as utilities.
The quality system assurance is certified in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.
